Visit Casper hosts first Certified Tourism Ambassador class in Wyoming

CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A group of gas station shift leaders, museum employees and more endured an early morning for Visit Casper’s Certified Tourism Ambassador class.

This class has been held since 2016 when there was an influx of tourists because of the solar eclipse. “Everybody has an opportunity to touch and impact the visitor economy,” said Brook Kaufman, the Visit Casper CEO.

Kaufman taught the class about how important the tourism economy is for the community and how competitive it is to get people to come. They also teach how important it is to give visitors the right answers.

She adds Visit Casper could spend millions of dollars to market Natrona County, but it doesn’t matter if guests arent’ treated well. This nationwide training is the first one in Wyoming the results from it can be found from a survey done every other year.
