COMMUNITYALIGNMENTSanAntonioCTA

San Antonio launched the CTA program in 2012 and is the second largest CTA program
with over 1,800 CTAs. Visit San Antonio, formerly a city department, has celebrated
CTA as a proven means to work together across their destination.

Strategic Plans & Tourism Master Plans

All CTA destinations have incorporated the CTA program into their Strategic Plans or
Tourism Master Plans, as it is a natural fit to achieve the following:

ECONOMIC
GROWTH

Growing the local economy through strong businesses, enhanced visitor spending, and workforce development.

INDUSTRY
PARTNERSHIPS

Engaging traditional and non-traditional partnerships to strengthen tourism and the tourism product.

TOURISM
AWARENESS

Increasing business and local residents’ awareness of the importance of tourism and working to preserve the community they love.

QUALITY
EXPERIENCE

Enhancing visitor satisfaction and fueling positive word-of-mouth through a knowledgeable and connected front-line.

Aligning the Entire Destination
in Support of Tourism

CTAs from all parts of the industry are joining together as one big team. In destinations of all sizes, the CTA program has successfully aligned the following sectors. Why? Because they ALL benefit from a positive visitor experience!

• Airports
• Attractions & Activities (cultural, gaming, sports, etc.)
• City/County/State Government (mayors, city council, police)
• Residents / Volunteers
• Convention Centers / Conference Centers
• Downtown Merchants
• Economic Development / Workforce Development
